Anchor Bay 2013
We just had an amazing camping trip to Anchor Bay, CA. It is located just north of Gualala,CA and south of Mendocino, CA. It’s a perfect little cove, with steps leading up to the little town on the cliffs. The town had a great little store, Thai food, mexican food, a laundry mat and a yoga studio. What else do you need?
It was a perfect place to bring your Westy, as we had electrical and water hook ups which made camping in the winter easy and fun. We brought a heater from home and plugged it in at night to warm up our camper, then shut it off before bed. It was awesome. Talk about living the highlife! We were warmer in the camper than I have been at home in Marin for the last week.
Our site was literally on the beach, and we could hear the waves crashing all night long, it was perfect. The facilities were really nice, they had everything for cleaning your crabs and abolone to dish washing stations with warm water and showers.
